4 DAY SACRIFICE

We had given the change to go home as the Christian do during this holy week. Being a religious, is not just praying and sacrificing to one self but the main reason is the way we help our brother and sister. By this way we are able to communicate to god through our fellow bother and sister. There are so many different religions in this world but the main reason purpose of all is the “GOODNESS” that how I learned when I took 4 days sacrifice and joining called “alay lakad” and I also joining “salapi alay sagip buhay” these way able to participated to god for only 1 day.

reflection

Last week in we had the opportunity to witness the international forum (the Philippines-Japan manning forum 2008) which held in PICC we see the different VIP, different cadets of different Academy and other included guests and the most important is the President Gloria macapagal arroyo. This is the remarkable to me/us to be part of that forum in which all the Pilipino-seaman must know in relation to the current issues in the Philippines. The president speaks that the most powerful manpower to the nation is the seaman. Pilipino-seaman contributes 60% higher compare to the other Pilipino-working abroad. Pilipino-seaman also the most helpful to the economy of the Philippines. So that street children must care. To built more charitable institutions and hospitals, houses.

From these inspiration words I learned that the profession of being a seaman and a future engineer. Not just to set and relax and receive and receive money. Being a Seaman is not just to improve the lifestyles but the true professions of a seaman are to help others even a single deed.

BST

Last week we are able to perform certain activity which is related to the basic safety (BST), these are the activity may help us in a real life situations which in mostly needed in the emergency (abandon ship). Three of the major activity to perform is how to jump in at certain heights. Most people have this fair of heights and how to overcome it by means of practice which is enabling onboard to jump without fair. Abandon ship is one of the major dangers onboard. Second is we are able to swim in a certain distance (100m) approximately without lifejacket to prevent accident in sinking ship. And the third practice is to stay in the water for a certain period of time without lifejacket. As this practice we can ready in any possible happen and we also relax when we get tired.

Week 9

I able to learned and reflect to myself how the important of studying those tools use in machine operations. These tools are most important to take care it’s because these are precession tools which prequintly use in the operations. These tools are Vernier Caliper and the micrometers which they have the smallest graduation (0.2 and 0.5) are the nearest to measuring digit to get the exact and concise measuring. Second these are mostly tools front to damage without proper maintaining, calibration and proper placement to the housing can cause malfunctioning and unable to read the exact measurement. These are only a reminder for me as a engineering student in this academy to be good and responsible citizen.

week 8

It is not enough to learn without experience; last week discusses about the how distinguish the fire and how to fight the fire. This is very most important for me to learn because it tackles about the safety of oneself the environment and others. For these our teacher required us to handle the actual fire host to experience the actual fire fighting and for these training we are able reflect the real situation in how to deal with the fire.

These experience inspire me a lot, it give me strong foundation and a good reason why I give importance to my profession. In that experience at first we are to make fun of it we though that it easy to deal with the fire but the after we experience that scenario, we reflect how difficult is it. How hard to handle the fire hose, the pressure of the water pushes us towards. And after that we are able to make thanks god.

Last week we discuss about displacement, velocity, distance and speed in our subject which is physics. This four topics are much related to each other it’s because of there applicability in the field of industry and in the simple rotation of life. Knowing them is so very useful in people who involve onboard for example; these four topics can apply to a simple problem application to a big industry which is included for counting as work.
Displacement (n Newtonian mechanics, specifies the position of a point in reference to an origin or to a previous position) which is applicable to a ship to move to a designated speed in a given distance and time, but can be change for some factors like sea waves, direction of the wind and emergency operations. Velocity is computed the ship to a given distance, speed and the direction. It is important to know a velocity of something moving tor a given direction it’s because it easily be located in any part of world and for any emergency to happen. Distance is a numerical description of how far apart objects are at any given moment in time. In physics distance may refer to a physical length, a period of time, or estimation based on other criteria (e.g. "two counties over"). These topics is very easy to understand to a idea of a crew or personnel onboard of there distance they covered. Speed is the rate of motion, or equivalently the rate of change in position, often expressed as distance traveled per unit of time. Speed calculates in the relation in sea or a area and the time and the other factors like the overall weight of the ship in the traveling at the sea. Speed can be change for some factors.

Week 1

The first semester had been past to consider everything we have done is what the future tells us. Everymen on this planet have to consider them self as a part of there history of life, why other other people predict of something what will happen in there future life is because they are chosen there life be better. Considering my self like others to predict of something to change there way of living. Prediction is a vision of something may happen to a person. In short a expectation of something will work to the future.

The prediction is in mind of every human who waiting of something change. Like some else, I predict my self and a promise to my self to pass what ever subject I have. To study harder so that I can fulfill my dreams to become a good cadet and a also a good leader.
